Please Note:

You are about to register with the Staples Lacrosse Club.

Please note, ALL players must also be registered each year with the Staples Athletic Department. For a quick link to the Staples Athletic Department, please refer to the blue button on the top right of our homepage

Parents of New and Returning Players, please follow these simple steps:

Please read the instructions and special notes below.  The process should be relatively quick process, but your close attention is required.

Do I enter the player's information or parent's information?

Information for parents/guardians is entered first; the player's info is entered afterwards.

What if my son is a returning player?

The registration process for returning players is quite straightforward.  The system will automatically update your son's grade once the school year begins.  Please check all information making sure to update your son's email address and mobile phone number if different than what is currently listed.

Also, please review the supplemental question form and make appropriate updates to height, weight, position and shirt and short sizes where applicable.  If parent/guardian information has changed, please edit your account.

If you have more than one player in your family, you'll have the chance to enter each player's info.  Do not begin a separate registration for each player.

Click the green Register button below to begin.

Please Note: Once you've registered, you can come back to the website anytime to change any of the player or the parent/guardian personal information using the Edit My Account feature on the home page menu.

Staples HS Fall Box Training - Insports

Tuesday Night Box Training at Insports – 7:00 – 8:30pm

10 Sessions:
September 17th, 24th
October 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th
November 5th, 12th, 19th

These sessions will be run as box lacrosse training inside the box lacrosse rink at InSports in Trumbull. They will be designed with a non-contact portion at the beginning of practice to allow for fall sport athletes to participate. Players will be put through a true box lacrosse workout designed to increase the amount of reps and touches each player gets.

We have seen great success in training field lacrosse players in box lacrosse because both offensive and defensive players have to make decisions in a tighter space with less reaction time, play offense and defense more physically and without the benefit of long poles, and to score goals on a smaller target with a larger goalie, improving accuracy. ALL PLAYERS WILL USE SHORT STICKS (NO LONG POLES).

Playing inside the rink at Insports will be a unique experience for most players and will allow the ball to never be out of bounds. The SLA is hiring excellent coaches with a Box Lacrosse background to lead these sessions.

Please note the first three sessions will be on turf while the Box Rink has the flooring replaced. Players should wear cleats for these three sessions. The remaining seven sessions will be in the Box Rink with its new sport court surface. Players should wear SNEAKERS only (NO CLEATS) since this floor will be similar to the flooring at the Staples Fieldhouse.

Staples HS Fall Strength and Conditioning

Fall Strength and Conditioning

Staples HS Lacrosse will be doing our fall strength and conditioning at Staples HS in our weight room. Our program will once again be led by Drew Accomando and his ATP Performance team. Drew will be holding a testing day at the beginning of the program at his facility in South Norwalk so each student athlete can track their improvement through the program.

This program is designed for OUT OF SEASON athletes (no fall sport). Any IN SEASON athlete should speak with their Fall coach about strength and conditioning and what their program philosophy is for in season training.

Sticks for Soldiers Tournament

Sticks for Soldiers Tournament - this is a local 7v7 tournament that Staples Lacrosse has attended the last few years. Last year two teams, Seniors/Juniors + Sophomores/Freshmen attended the event. This year the SLA would like to send two teams again but we need to have an understanding of how many kids want to play. This tournament takes place on Saturday November 30th at Ludlowe HS in Fairfield. It is a fun event that supports a great cause that has been important to Staples Lacrosse for a number of years. Once again, due to SLA Fundraising, there is no cost for players to attend this tournament.

Please complete this registration to let us know that your son will be playing on Saturday November 30th at Fairfield Ludlowe.
